We are definitely getting close. We have had some minor delays with the weather even though the work is all indoors now, but the end is near. This is a very exciting time as our vision is now coming together. Things I have seen only in my mind are now materializing into real tactile details which is pretty cool. The schedule, depending on the weather, has them finishing up the cabinets, countertops, tile and trim this week or early next week. We will be painting trim this weekend coming up. Next week the plumber should be finishing up the plumbing fixtures. Carpet is being installed the 24th. Somewhere in there the electrician will finish up the electrical and then the HVAC guys will finish up there work. I’m not sure about the stair railings but that should be done soon as well. Then we are down to the detail stuff such as shelving in closets, hardware etc. So if everything goes as planed, we should be pretty well finished up this month. The excavator will have to finish up the yard in early spring but that’s something I am not real concerned about. Our primary goal is to get our occupancy permit, not just so that we can move in, but so that we can refinance into a 30 year fixed rate loan before rates go any higher. There is a lot of work to be done and a lot of it is work I have to do which is a little overwhelming, but this is also a very exciting time. Thanks for following along.
